Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
The Shadow of the Erdtree falls on the Lands Between, and a Tarnished walks again. FromSoftware's 2024 expansion to Elden Ring opens the realm of shadow, and an old story long kept from the light.
About
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the expansion to the 2022 role-playing game Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released on June 21, 2024, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows, with a later release on Nintendo Switch 2.
The expansion leads the Tarnished beyond the Lands Between into the realm of shadow, following in the footsteps of Miquella. It is the only piece of downloadable content made for Elden Ring, and it is known for scaling its challenges to players who have already come far in the base game, for the density of its new regions and bosses, and for rewards and weapons that reshaped how the game is played.
