Vigapedia is a non-commercial video game encyclopedia. It has no ads, no accounts, no comments and no sign-up forms, and it doesn’t track you. This page explains the little that does happen when you visit.
What Vigapedia collects
- Nothing about you directly. There are no visitor accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising, and Vigapedia sets no cookies for visitors.
- Server logs. Like every website, our host (Bluehost) records standard access logs: your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time. They are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for the host’s usual period.
- The administrator’s session. WordPress sets login cookies only for the site’s administrator, who maintains the encyclopedia.
Services your browser contacts
A few files load from other services. Each of them receives your IP address and browser details, as any website you load files from does:
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) delivers the site’s styles, scripts, icons (Font Awesome) and font (Inter). See the jsDelivr privacy policy.
- YouTube. On pages with videos, the preview thumbnails load from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com). The video player itself loads only when you press play, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you play a video, Google’s privacy policy applies to it. Vigapedia adds no tracking to or around the player.
Game images (covers, screenshots, logos) are stored on Vigapedia’s own server, so viewing them doesn’t contact the stores or sites they came from.
Links to other sites
Vigapedia links to stores, wikis, guides, reviews and official sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.
Your rights
Because Vigapedia stores nothing about visitors beyond the host’s server logs, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have a question or a request about your data, use the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
