Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released on February 25, 2022. It is the first FromSoftware title to set its punishing, deliberate combat loose in a vast open world, the Lands Between, a realm of ruined castles, buried tombs and gods gone quiet. From the collapsed grace of its dungeons to the star-scarred sky above, every road leads to a greater foe. Rise, Tarnished. Claim the ring. Become Elden Lord.

Built on the Soulslike foundations the studio forged across its earlier dark fantasy work, the game is known for demanding boss encounters, cryptic lore told in fragments, and a world that rewards the patient and punishes the proud. It came to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S, and later to Nintendo Switch 2.
