The moon rises red over Transylvania, and a vampire hunter's night begins. Konami's TurboGrafx-16 chapter of Castlevania sends Richter Belmont through Dracula's castle to save the women the count has taken.

About

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is an action-adventure platformer developed and published by Konami, released on the TurboGrafx-16 in Japan on October 29, 1993 as part of the Castlevania series. Players take up the whip of Richter Belmont, who storms Dracula’s castle to rescue the young women carried off by the count’s servants. Along the way he can free a captive ally who becomes a second playable character, opening different routes through the castle and much of what the game is remembered for.

Rondo of Blood is known as one of the finest entries in the series and one of the best showcases of the TurboGrafx-16, praised for its animation, its striking soundtrack and its branching, secret-filled stages. It later reached a wider audience through the PlayStation and PSP release Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, cementing its reputation as a high point of classic Castlevania.
