A real-time strategy saga from Blizzard Entertainment, pitting humanity against the insectoid Zerg and the psionic Protoss in a war for the stars.

About StarCraft

StarCraft is a science-fiction real-time strategy franchise created by Blizzard Entertainment. The original game, released in 1998, followed the human Terrans, the ravenous Zerg Swarm and the ancient Protoss in a struggle for survival across the Koprulu sector. It is known for the careful balance of its three asymmetric factions and for a competitive scene that has endured for decades.

Blizzard continued the story with StarCraft II, whose campaigns and expansions carried the war to its conclusion. The franchise has since grown beyond strategy, spanning novels, comics and other media. Its blend of fast, precise management and grim frontier warfare made it a standard-bearer for strategy in South Korea and a fixture of global esports.
