A great sea, a stolen sister, and a boy in green: the GameCube classic returns in high definition, its waves brighter and its voyage longer than you remember.

About

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development and released for the Wii U on September 20, 2013. It is a remaster of the GameCube title, following a young hero who sails a vast ocean to rescue his sister and confront the darkness pursuing him.

The remake is known for its reworked cel-shaded visuals, which brighten the GameCube original’s already distinctive art style, and for adjustments that speed up sailing and other slow stretches of the voyage. It also incorporates features built around the Wii U GamePad, and remains a notable entry in The Legend of Zelda series for making a divisive classic easier to love.
