The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

The 2011 origin of the Zelda legend, reborn on the Nintendo Switch with smooth motion-free controls and a sky full of secrets to sail.

About

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Switch, released on July 16, 2021. It is a remaster of the Wii game that first told how the Zelda legend began, developed for the Switch by Tantalus Media. Link descends from the floating island of Skyloft into the lands below, chasing a friend and a fate that stretches across the ages.

The remaster is known for letting players swing the sword with button and stick controls instead of motion, and for a smoother, higher-definition journey through the skies and dungeons of the Wii original. It brought one of the series’ most divisive chapters to a new generation of players.
