Tekken 2

The King of Iron Fist Tournament returns, and this time the devil inside has a name. Namco's 1995 arcade and PlayStation fighter that turned a rookie series into a dynasty.

About

Tekken 2 is a 3D fighting game developed and published by Namco, released to arcades in August 1995 and later brought home to the PlayStation. It is the second main entry in the Tekken series, following the original tournament with a larger roster, sharper visuals and a story that plunged the Mishima family feud into something darker.

The game is remembered for giving the series its shape: the roster swelled with returning fighters and new faces, each with their own ending, while characters such as Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima became fixtures of the rivalry at its heart. Its arcade and console versions made it one of the defining fighting games of its era, and the PlayStation port became a best-seller that cemented Tekken as a flagship franchise for the platform.
