Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

A high-definition remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo, redrawn by fans and rebuilt by Backbone Entertainment — the fighting game that finally let a community take the paintbrush.

About

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is a fighting game developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 25, 2008. It rebuilds Super Street Fighter II Turbo for a new generation, keeping the cast and the competitive heart of the original while replacing every fighter with high-definition artwork.

The redrawn visuals were commissioned from the fighting-game community’s own artists, a collaboration that made the project stand out among remakes of its era. HD Remix also rebalanced the roster and deepened online play, and it remains remembered as both a homecoming for lapsed Street Fighter players and a polished salute to one of the genre’s most enduring entries.
