Mortal Shell II is an action role-playing game developed by Cold Symmetry and published by Playstack, released on August 20, 2026 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S. It is a main entry in the Mortal Shell series, following the original game’s grim formula of deliberate, punishing combat in a shattered world.
The dead do not stay buried, and the shell you wear is never truly yours. Cold Symmetry returns to the world it first opened, deepening the series’ trademark of heavy steel, patient strikes, and bodies borrowed from the fallen. It is the second main chapter in the Mortal Shell franchise, built for a generation of hardware that came after the first.
