A world of light and a world of shadow, and a bounty hunter alone between them. Retro Studios' GameCube sequel sends Samus Aran to the poisoned planet Aether, where a war for survival is already lost.

About

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is an action-adventure game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo, released for the Nintendo GameCube on November 15, 2004. It is the second of the Metroid Prime games and continues the first-person exploration and combat of its predecessor, this time set on the planet Aether, torn into a light world and a dark world whose inhabitants have no love for intruders.

The game is remembered for its bleaker, more hostile world, for the dark dimension that drains Samus as she stands in it, and for the light and dark beams she turns against its creatures. A Wii version later appeared in Metroid Prime Trilogy. Samus came to Aether alone, and the planet has been waiting.
