About

Hyper Street Fighter II is a fighting game developed and published by Capcom, released on December 18, 2003 as part of the Street Fighter franchise. It appeared in arcades and on the PlayStation 2.

Built to mark the fifteenth anniversary of the series, the game turns the many iterations of Street Fighter II into a single roster. Players pick not only a fighter but the version of that fighter drawn from each game in the line, mixing warriors from different eras against one another in the same match. It is remembered as both a celebration of the game that built the fighting genre and a museum of its many revisions.
