A Metroidvania in which a black hole becomes a face, a body, and a weapon — and must tear the world apart to understand what it is.
About
Grime is a Metroidvania action role-playing game developed by Clover Bite and published by Akupara Games, released on August 2, 2021. You are a humanoid black hole, born with neither name nor memory, who survives by absorbing the remains of a world that was already ending before you arrived. Its combat is deliberate and punishing: you parry, you pull, you consume. Enemies break, bosses fall, and their essence becomes your own flesh.
Built around a hand-crafted, grotesque world of crumbling monuments and screaming stone, the game is often grouped with the “Soulsvania” lineage for the way it fuses interconnected exploration with demanding combat. It came to Microsoft Windows, Google Stadia, Xbox One and Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, and grew into a series under its own name.
