BS The Legend of Zelda

A Legend of Zelda adventure beamed down from the stars, played only when the satellite said so. Broadcast for the Satellaview in 1995, it turned Hyrule into an appointment.

About

BS The Legend of Zelda is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo Research & Development 2 and released on August 6, 1995. It was made for the Satellaview, a satellite broadcast add-on for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and it belongs to the main line of The Legend of Zelda series. Much of it rebuilt the familiar overworld of the original game in a new form.

What set it apart was how it was delivered. The game arrived in scheduled satellite broadcasts, and players were expected to play along as the story unfolded. Recorded narration carried the tale during the broadcast itself, giving the adventure a voice that vanished once the signal moved on.
