The Belmonts are gone. The castle is not. Konami returns to its gothic hunting grounds with an Evil Empire-built Metroidvania in which a cursed bloodline must climb the towers once more — and this time, the night is hungry.

About
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is a Metroidvania developed by Evil Empire and published by Konami, released on October 15, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Series X and Series S. It is a main entry in the Castlevania series, and marks the franchise’s return to the genre it helped define: a sprawling castle to be explored, unlocked, and turned inside out, one ability at a time.
Evil Empire, known for its work on side-scrolling action, takes up the whip here, building a castle of crumbling chapels, moonlit battlements, and rooms that remember what died in them. It arrives in a lineage that runs back to the first Castlevania and the Symphony that rewrote it, and it carries that inheritance like a wound. The night has waited long enough.
