Something on this world has learned to feed, and Samus Aran is the only thing standing between it and everything left alive. Metroid Ravenous is a Metroidvania developed by MercurySteam together with Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2, arriving January 28, 2027. It is a mainline entry in the Metroid series, the franchise’s first built for the new console.
Ravenous continues the series’ tradition of isolation, dread and solitude, sending the bounty hunter alone through hostile caverns where every corridor hides teeth. MercurySteam’s return to the franchise carries the weight of expectations: a hunter, a world with a hunger, and no one coming to help.
