Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is an action-adventure game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo. It was released on December 4, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2, and is a mainline entry in the Metroid series.
Beyond marks the return of Retro Studios to the first-person adventures of bounty hunter Samus Aran, blending exploration, combat and the labyrinthine, ability-gated level design the franchise is known for. It is the first new Metroid Prime game in many years, and its announcement and long development became one of the most closely followed stories in Nintendo’s catalog.
