A lone bounty hunter lands on a ruined world. Retro Studios turned Metroid into a first-person shooter, and made it feel like a haunted place.
About
Metroid Prime is a first-person shooter developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo, released on the Nintendo GameCube on November 18, 2002. It was the first Metroid game made outside Japan and the first in the series to be played from a first-person view, and it later came to the Wii and the Nintendo Switch.
The bounty hunter Samus Aran explores the abandoned planet Tallon IV, scanning the remains of a lost civilization and the creatures left behind. The game is remembered for fusing shooter combat with exploration and for its quiet, melancholy atmosphere, and it is often named among the best games of its era and of the GameCube.
