Moonscars is a grim 2D action-platformer in which you play a clayborn warrior who wakes in a dying world and fights her way through it in search of the one who made her. The game is known for its bleak, painterly pixel art, its demanding combat, and the blood moon that hangs over everything you do.

The game was developed by Black Mermaid and published by Humble Games. It is remembered for treating death as part of its story rather than a setback, letting fallen enemies and repeated lives feed into a world that only grows worse the longer you look at it.
