The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, released in 2011 for the Wii, is the Zelda game where the blade itself answers to your hand — and the tale of how Hyrule's legend began.
About
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Wii on November 18, 2011. It is a main entry in The Legend of Zelda series, and later came to the Nintendo Switch. Above the clouds, a young hero must descend to the surface below and forge the blade that will one day be known as the Master Sword.
Its battles hinge on motion controls, with the Wii Remote standing in for the sword so that every slash, thrust and parry follows the player’s own hand. The game is remembered as the origin story of the series’ founding legend — and for the divisive, demanding precision of its motion-driven combat.
