Ripened Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love is an adventure game for the Nintendo DS, developed by Vanpool and published by Nintendo on August 6, 2009. It follows the balloon-obsessed Tingle, drawn into a strange storybook land where he must float, charm and puzzle his way toward a girl named Love. Like its predecessor, it spins the Zelda series into a comic, faintly unsettling fantasy of its own.
The game was released only in Japan, continuing the strange fate of a spin-off most of the world never received. Its balloon-riding stages, odd cast and gentle absurdity gave it a small but devoted following abroad, known mainly as one of the most peculiar corners of The Legend of Zelda.
