About

Street Fighter V is a fighting game developed by Capcom with Dimps and published by Capcom, released on February 16, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. It is a main entry in the Street Fighter series, and the fifth numbered chapter in the long-running feud between martial artists who have never needed a reason beyond pride.

New fighters pulled the roster’s timeline forward even as returning champions kept their old grudges, and the game’s combat revolved around the V-Gauge: V-Skills, V-Reversals and V-Triggers, which gave each character a signature answer to a moment of crisis. Matches are short, brutal and loud, decided by a single read. Capcom supported the game long after launch with new characters, balance revisions and competitive seasons, while the wider fighting game community turned its tournaments into one of the scene’s biggest stages.
