About

Street Fighter Alpha 2 is a fighting game developed and published by Capcom, released to arcades on March 25, 1996. The second entry in the Street Fighter Alpha line, it followed the original Alpha with a rebuilt fighting engine, refined character sprites and new moves, and later arrived on the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Microsoft Windows.

The game pits the series’ martial artists against one another with super combos, custom combo chains and a roster drawn from across the Street Fighter saga. Its faster pace and deeper mechanics made it a fixture of tournament play, and it is remembered as one of the high points of Capcom’s mid-nineties fighting output.
