Street Fighter II Turbo

The fighter gets faster. Capcom speeds up the World Warriors, adds new moves and secret fighters, and turns a hit arcade game into an enduring legend.

About

Street Fighter II Turbo is a fighting game developed and published by Capcom, released in arcades on December 17, 1992. It is a revision of Street Fighter II that raises the pace of battle, gives every fighter new techniques and hidden special moves, and lets the player battle the four Grand Masters. The game is remembered for its speed, its secret fighters, and for becoming a fixture of competitive arcades around the world.

Capcom also brought the game to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, where it became one of the console’s defining fighting games and one of its most wanted cartridges. Turbo is the point where the series stopped being a hit and became a lasting institution, the version many players still measure every later Street Fighter against.
